We need your "YES on Issue 1" vote! Election Day is May 4th and early voting starts March 30th.
Here you'll find all the information you need about voting early, voting absentee or voting on May 4 - including where to vote. If you're not registered to vote, you'll find information on how to do that as well!
Vote Absentee
State law now allows any voter to vote absentee. Early voting begins Tuesday, March 30.
- Download your absentee ballot application (PDF).
- Complete the application and mail it to your county Board of Elections office.
- To find your county Board of Elections Office, click here.
- Your application must be received by mail by Noon on Saturday, May 1 or submitted in person by close of regular business hours on Monday, May 3. However, you should submit your application as far in advance as possible to ensure you receive your ballot and have time to return it.
- Once you receive your ballot, complete it and return it to your county Board of Elections.
- In order to be counted in the election, your ballot must be postmarked by Monday, May 3, or returned in person to your county Board of Elections office by Tuesday, May 4.

Are you registered to vote?
To vote in the May 4 election, you must be registered to vote by April 5. If you are not registered to vote:
- Download a Voter Registration Form (PDF).
- Complete the form and return it by mail to your county Board of Elections office or the Secretary of State’s office, or in person at:
- The office of any of the 88 county boards of elections
- The office of the Registrar or any Deputy Registrar of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
- Public libraries
- Public high schools or vocational schools
- County treasurers' offices
- Offices of designated agencies, including:
- The Department of Job and Family Services
- The Department of Health (including the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program)
- The Department of Mental Health
- The Department of Developmental Disabilities
- The Rehabilitation Services Commission
- Any state-assisted college or university that provides assistance to disabled students.
