  1. JOBS FOR OHIOANS. Issue 1 will renew the Ohio Third Frontier, Ohio's most successful economic development and jobs program, creating tens of thousands of new jobs in Ohio.

    Issue 1 will renew and continue the highly successful Ohio Third Frontier program, which - as independent analysis has confirmed - has already created, attracted or capitalized more than 500 companies, supported expansion of many existing companies, and created more than 48,000 jobs. A YES vote on Issue 1 will ensure that this program that already has generated $6.6 billion in economic activity in Ohio will continue to thrive, leading to even more start-up companies, more business expansions and more jobs for Ohioans.
  2. BETTER FUTURE FOR OHIO. Issue 1 will promote economic growth and improve quality of life in communities across Ohio.

    Issue 1 will target state investments to promising industries, technologies, research and entrepreneurs - investments that will help ensure Ohio companies compete successfully in global markets. Issue 1 also will ensure continued funding to support expansion of existing companies in diverse industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, biomedicine, renewable energy and others. A YES vote on Issue 1 will lead to medical advances, innovative products and new technologies that will improve quality of life for all Ohioans.
  3. BROAD-BASED BIPARTISAN SUPPORT. Issue 1 has strong, bipartisan support, as well as the support of individuals and organizations from all regions of the state and all sectors of Ohio's economy.

    At a time when partisan politics makes reaching consensus on state policy seem virtually impossible, Issue 1 attracts broad-based support that crosses party lines. Both candidates for governor and the vast majority of both Republicans and Democrats in the Ohio General Assembly support Issue 1. Representative of business, labor, agriculture, higher education - and from all major sectors of Ohio's economy - support Issue 1. In every region of the state, individuals and organizations are standing up to say, "Vote YES on Issue 1."
