Issue 1 Grassroots Toolkit

Election Day is quickly approaching, and we need your help to get the word out about Issue 1 and the Ohio Third Frontier. To ensure Issue 1 passes on May 4, we need to keep working to educate Ohioans about the many benefits voter approval of Issue 1 will bring to our state. To help you in your gassroots efforts, we have put together a toolkit with template materials for your use.

Announcing your support
  • Template Resolution of Support (DOC) – Use this template to create your official resolution of support.
  • Template Press Release (DOC) – Announce your endorsement of Issue 1 by customizing a news release to distribute to your local media.
  • Template Newsletter Article (DOC) – Share your endorsement of Issue 1 with your company/organization by customizing an article to publish in an internal newsletter or other internal publication.
Advocating for Issue 1
  • General Overview (PDF) – Share the one-page general overview with voters to give them quick information about Issue 1 and reasons why they should vote “Yes.”
  • Fact Sheet (PDF) – Find key data points and details to reference in your Issue 1 advocacy efforts.
  • Elevator Speech (PDF) – Review the elevator speech to help you remember top-line messages to share when you talk with friends, colleagues, business associates or family about Issue 1.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) – Share this presentation with your employees, executive team, board members or other interested parties in your community to let them know about Issue 1 and why you support it.
